How do I maintain a used 97 Honda Civic?

I just purchased a used certified Honda civic from the Honda dealership in Atlanta, Georgia. I am moving to New York and just have basic questions on how to maintain a used Honda so that it can last a couple of years longer.

Thanks in advanceHow do I maintain a used 97 Honda Civic?http://www.hondabeat.com/maintenance.phpHow do I maintain a used 97 Honda Civic?Well the main thing is, Make sure all your fluids are checked regularly. A lot of the problems that I see everyday are due to people just not checking there fluid level.

2nd, make sure you change your fluid on time every time. This will cut down on carbon build up in your engine, premature wear on your transmission, etc......

3rd, get a maintance schedule to go by, that way you will have a idea of what needs to be done at a perticular time and you can figure the cost a head of time.

4th, don't use your car for what it's not designed for, I'm in south carolina, so I know you've seen small cars towing trailers behind them. Or you see somebody try to make a stock car a race car, without modifiying anything.

If you take care of the simple stuff, you may have a problem every now and again, but over all you will prevent a lot of it.
