What is the difference between a Honda Nighthawk 650 '82 and '83?

I am looking to buy a Honda Nighthawk 650 but I want to know if there are any major differences between the 1982 model and the 1983 model. I know they changed the engine and boosted the cc's but i dont care if i have a lil less power with the 1982 model but i want to know if there are some problems with it which should persuade me to buy an 83 instead? What is the difference between a Honda Nighthawk 650 '82 and '83?'82 Honda Nighthawk 650: 627cc SOHC, chain-driven 5-speed, 9:1 compression ratio, analog gauges, and a round headlight.

'83 Honda Nighthawk 650: 655cc DOHC, shaft-driven 6-speed, 9.5:1 compression ratio, digital gauges, and a rectangle headlight.

Since seeing a few Honda Nighthawk 650 engines still running 25 years later, I am convinced that there are no major flaws in its design. So, I tend to think that the deciding factor will come down to whether you're a chain guy or prefer shaft.

*/End of Line. What is the difference between a Honda Nighthawk 650 '82 and '83?Looks like about 1 year
