I am considering buying a used 2005 Honda Accord from a reputable Honda dealer. A number of my friends have bought their cars from that dealer and have good comments.
The car is 2 years and 3 months old, and based on the CARFAX report, it does not have any problem. The mileage of the car is about 20k, and it previously has only one owner.
The car is currently not certified and the dealer has told me that if I want it to be certified, it would cost roughly another $800.
Base on my limited understanding of Honda Certification, it basically buys me one more year of warranty, and a better peace of mind to start with.
Do you think the certification will be worth it?
I am inexperience with cars and this is the first time I am buying a car. Our main purpose of getting the car is to do our shopping errands and for occasional short trips. If this Accord is in good condition but still need repairs within the first year, do you think the repairs can easily cost more than $800?Should I take up Honda Certification for a 2005 Accord in good condition?if you think it willl it give you peace of mind then do it but in my opion hondas out last the warrenty anyway so it is a wast of money to take the certificate.Should I take up Honda Certification for a 2005 Accord in good condition?no I would not do the Honda certification. I would but that money into an extended warranty plan
