i have a 1986 Honda Prelude si, was just wandering what everyone considered good compression for a car of it's age? What is considered good compression on a 25 year old honda?I lick 2 see about no lower than 95psi %26amp; that is very low , about 130psi if the car has a lot of miles in it ( i dont know was not posted %26amp; being a honda , if it dont smoke out the exhaust and oil dont use a lot of oil , fix oil leaks if ot has any ( hope in dont thats a big plus ) %26amp; does the car pass emissions it ok,What is considered good compression on a 25 year old honda? The same as in a 1 day old Honda. You don't get to have lower compression because you're old.
It should be over 110 or so, but readings vary a lot depending on how you do the test. It's most important that you get close to the same reading in all cylinders. Within 10% of each other. What is considered good compression on a 25 year old honda? As long as it's at least 100 PSI and reasonably even on all cylinders it should be ok.
