How long will a Honda Civic Engine Last?
I have a 1995 Honda Civic LX with the four cylinder 1.5 engine right at this time it has 260,000 miles. It has the original engine and transmission nothing has ever been changed except the clutch and timing belt. I was wondering how long these engines can actually last before they blow. How long will a Honda Civic Engine Last?as long as yo maintain it, it will last. My friend has a 1994 civic lx and it has 415,000k on it!!! Still runs great. How long will a Honda Civic Engine Last?wow, 260,000 miles?! SWEEET! haha Well Honda is honda, it'll last long - as long as you maintain it really well. Since you have a 1995, i would put extra attention on whatever you can update. For engine, i would look into what oil you put in - so that your engine is clean. Once you get some buildup, something is bound to break. I think they call it pistons .. i dont know. But something that works to keep the engine running on the inside of it - has to be clean. Get it checked up, on a monthly (or every 3-5 months). But if i were you- i would also update the exterior too - thats just me. You know waxing it, replacing anything thats falling apart. Go the extra mile! How long will a Honda Civic Engine Last?Well, providing the "nothing has ever been changed" doesn't include the standard service parts, then you should get at least another 140k out of that engine!
