5W-20 is required no matter what brand / quality oil you choose. My 2001 Accord uses Royal Purple or Valvoline SynPower, both are full synthetic and work great.

it wont kill anything in it to use synthetic oil in it,all it will do is help add life to the engine,and in some cases it has helped a lot of people get better gas mileage,but right now its the best oil on the market for any car made,or any engine out there new or old,i use Mobil one all the time i have found it to be the best yet,there's a lot of different brands on the market though,but for best performance and reliability id try Mobil one,its rated no-1 right now,good luck with it.Can I Use Synthetic Oil to My 2002 Honda Accord?I changed to synthetic 5W-20 Mobil 1 over 50,000 miles ago on my 2001 Accord. The only difference I noticed was it cost more to change oil.
Change oil as specified in your owners manual (5W-20) and if you like use synthetic, sleep well but don't expect to notice a difference at the pump.
